Giovanna Cordeiro was crowned Miss World Paraguay 2015 (Details & Photos)

Giovanna Cordeiro was crowned Miss World Paraguay 2015 at end of the closed event held on Monday, September 21 to choose Paraguay's representatives at international pageants. She is 25 years old from Asunción and stands 5'9" tall. Giovanna is not new to international pageant as she competed at Miss Tourism International 2014 where she finished as Top 10 and was also the 3rd runner up at Nuestra Belleza Paraguay 2014 pageant. She now has the official right to represent Paraguay again in  Miss World 2015 contest in Sanya, China.

Also at the event, Laura Garcete was crowned Miss Universe Paraguay 2015 (Nuestra Belleza Paraguay 2015) , Myriam Arevalos as Miss Earth Paraguay 2015 and Mónica Mariani as Miss International Paraguay 2015.

Paraguay has never won the Miss World title but had been placed as Top 15, Top 25 and Top 20 courtesy of Daisy Patricia Ferreira Caballero in 2010, Egni Eckert in 2010 and Nicole Huber in 2011 respectively. Also Maria Elizabeth Giardina of Praguay won the special award of Miss Personality in 1977.

More About Giovanna Cordeiro

Giovanna studied Business Administration at the Catholic University of Asuncion. Having lived in Oxford, England where she studied English and enabled her to enroll in Oxford Brookes University for a Masters in International Relations and International Management this year. She has a deep passion for art which has made her taken photography and makeup course at the Institute of Oscar Mulet, with a specialization in London School of beauty and makeup.

From an early age she has also been dedicated to dance, studying classic ballet, jazz and flamenco at such prestigious academies in Asuncion as Elizabeth Vinader, and Sussy Dijkuis Nicole Sacco.

She has always been inspired by female beauty, respecting and admiring all race, colour, height, age, culture and religion. She believes that this is something that makes us interesting and also unique. As a result she has decided to promote individual beauty, encouraging women to seek, show and enjoy the best that each has both inside and out.
