Following the return of Miss Earth franchise to the Miss Universe Thailand organization after two years. The Miss Universe Thailand Organization has appointed a representative for Miss Earth pageant. 

Chavika Watrsang has been appointed as Miss Earth Thailand 2015. The 19-year-old beauty from Phuket emerged first runner-up at the Miss Universe Thailand 2015 contest won by Aniporn Chalermburanawong at Royal Paragon Hall in Bangkok on July 18. She will now represent Thailand at Miss Earth Thailand in Vienna, Austria later this year.

History of Miss Earth Thailand?- A Record of Success Stories

Miss Universe Thailand orgaization, Bangkok Broadcasting & T.V. Co. Ltd. held the franchise from 2002-2012 where the first runner-up at the pageant is usually sent to Miss Earth pageant. The first ever Thai queen at Miss Earth pageant was Radchadawan Khampeng (2nd runner-up Miss Universe Thailand 2004) who placed in the Top 8. In 2007, Thailand's delegate Jiraporn Sing-ieam didnt only finish among Top 8 but also won a special award of Best National Costume. Also in 2008 and 2009, Piyaporn Deejing finished Top 16 and Rujinan Phanseethum finished Top 8. Miss Earth Water 2010 (equivalent to 2nd runner-up) went Watsaporn Wattanakoon who also won the Most Photogenic Award. Niratcha Tungtisanont finished Top 16 in 2011 and lastly during this franchise regime was Waratthaya Wongchayaporn who won the Best National Costume in 2012

In 2013, Organizer IQ Co., Ltd. as the new Miss Earth conducted the Miss Earth Thailand pageant and sent the winner Punika Kulsoontornrut to the Miss Earth pageant where she finished 2nd runner-up (Miss Earth-Water). The franchise changed hand again in 2014, when Nawat Itsaragrisil, who owns Miss Grand Thailand, that was launched in 2013, took over the license of Miss Earth. The second title of Miss Grand Thailand was slated as Miss Earth Thailand which went to Sasi Sintawee that placed Top 16 at the international level.

As fate will have it,  Miss Universe Thailand orgaization has regained its franchise and has declared Chavika Watrsangto as Miss Earth Thailand 2015.
